The story
Sparkplot began as the charts I kept rebuilding for clients: small, readable and accessible by default.
It is now an open-source kit with twelve chart types, keyboard navigation, screen-reader summaries and a strict rule about labelling lines instead of legends.
Two regional newspapers used it for their election maps, where it held up under a million views in a single night.
